ChLIA instrument for chemiluminescence immunoassay analyses

United expertise for ChLIA diagnostics – An interview with Euroimmun

The integration of Immunodiagnostic Systems (IDS) products into the Euroimmun portfolio has created a unique and broad menu of speciality testing solutions. Our combined chemiluminescence immunoassay (ChLIA) range now spans more than 200 analytes from six diagnostic areas: endocrinology, autoimmunity, infectious diseases, allergy, Alzheimer’s disease and therapeutic drug monitoring. ChLIAs from multiple diagnostic areas can be processed in parallel on IDS instruments, giving laboratories outstanding flexibility and scalability in their routine testing.

Euroimmun offers three IDS ChLIA analysers catering to different laboratory needs. The established IDS-iSYS Multidiscipline Automated System and IDS-i10 support reagent capacities of 15 and 10 analytes, respectively. The new IDS i20 significantly expands this capability and can run 20 analytes from different diagnostic specialties simultaneously. Its high level of adaptability makes it ideal for laboratories handling a diversity of daily testing requirements.

To learn more about our growing ChLIA portfolio and automation solutions, Clinical Laboratory International (CLI) recently sat down with Dr. Anna Stanisak, our Global Product Manager for Automation.

Some key insights from the interview:

“IDS has developed comprehensive ChLIA test panels covering bone metabolism, growth disorders, reproductive health, hypertension and adrenal function. Notably, the bone metabolism panel uniquely includes all recommended markers for monitoring osteoporosis therapy, also in patients with impaired kidney function.”

“All three IDS ChLIA instruments provide fully automated processing with long walkway times and minimal manual workload. For labs looking to streamline further, both the IDS i10 and the IDS i20 can be integrated into a lab track.”

“The system software has been designed with modern cybersecurity standards in mind and meets the stringent IT policy requirements of healthcare institutions. At the same time, it is user-friendly and easy to navigate.”
